Testimonials
I grew up reading Tracy Hickman’s fiction. When I discovered his Scribe’s Forge online workshop I just knew I had to join and see how my own book measured up to the “Master’s” scrutiny. I could not have made a better investment in my own future. Scribe’s Forge workshop turned out to be the tool that helped me take control of my writing and helped me to- “be read.”

Dramatica Story Tuneup Software
Laura and I both teach and use the Dramatica Theory of Story in our writing and our seminars. Dramatica is a writer's edge in storytelling ... it pops the hood on your story, shows you what is missing, what isn't working and shows you insights into how to get it running smoothly again. As I say on their website, ""Dramatica is my indispensable tool both in bringing form to my new novels and in the repair and tune-up of stories that I am revisiting. It has added a new, grander dimension to my craft. These are power tools no storyteller should be without."

My Service Provider
I personally recommend:
They are my host for all of my online projects. Their price is great and, more importantly, their service response is superb.

Sounds like a winner Tracy and Laura!
I’d stumbled on an interview with Tracy on a Mur Lafferty Podcast from August 2010. It was a friendly exchange that allowed this listener and aspiring writer to know that there’s roadsigns, friends along the way and this website is maybe just what I’ve been looking for. I’m an American ex-pat living in Australia, been told by too many friends, too many times to apply fingers to keyboard and see what happens. And there seems a kindness from Tracy and Laura that welcomes the lonely writer and lets them know that they’re not alone and here’s the playbook. Thanks for this website, for the offering of the seminar. I’ve got a birthday coming up, might take you up on this excellent program.
Lew … we want to help. It’s our misson to pass on everything we have learned to you and writer like you. We hope you’ll be with us soon … to not just get you published but to get your words READ … to help you find your audience. Thank you for your generous words!
This looks very exciting. I’ve just finished my first draft of my novel and I’m looking forward to your next seminar so I can see how I measure up and where to make changes!
Thanks!!
Tom
This looks awesome.
About six years ago I had a creative writing teacher that worked as an editor professionally tell me that my work was good enough to be published. Like most people I didn’t do anything about it until a few months ago. I had an idea and started diving into it only to realize writing a book was much more work than I anticipated.
Just looking at all of the information online it gets real confusing on how to go about writing a book let alone getting published. This looks like just the thing I’ve been looking for.
